The ZYX quest is to realize the full potential of analog playback which is the only medium that gives us a continuous time axis signal (Z).
Modern digital playback systems have a discontinuous time axis. Therefore, while digital sampling rates are fast, they produce a continuous series of disconnected synthetic sounds.
The natural flow of sound in analog systems is made more transparent by the VX system, recreating a vibrant, three-dimensional sound stage, recreating the continuous flow of sound that musical sounds should have.
